Photo stop of about 10mins at the bridge, about 90mins at Muir Woods and an hour in Sausalito - if you walk along the front there are some lovely cafes with outdoor seating where you have plenty of time for a drink/sandwich! “James our guide was super engaging and such a lovely man, loved his stories and he drove the bus carefully, a true professional. Muir woods is absolutely stunning. It’s hard to comprehend just how beautiful it is. We were trying to listen out for wildlife, but only saw a brief glimpse of a chipmunk, and saw a tiny mouse. Go do it. If you can stay longer, definitely do that. Not for people that don’t like walking, but it’s one experience I’d wholeheartedly recommend. The staff were all great, friendly and explained what was going on at all times.”

“We booked the 8am excursion, including the optional ferry back to Pier 41. We called 72 hours ahead for confirmation, and we were scheduled for a 10am departure. The bus accommodations were comfortable, with phone charging capabilities, which was great since we are travelling with teenagers. Randy, our driver, was funny, pointed out some great sites along the way and even kept our kids engaged. We took the ferry back. My only suggestion would be to wait before you purchase the ferry back, we would have probably taken the other ferry back to the Ferry Building instead. “I really enjoyed this tour. I thought our tour guide's commentary was really engaging. He was really personable and his people interaction was first class and effortless. The Muir Woods are in a valley and whilst this is a popular attraction it still felt reasonably peaceful. Whilst not containing the biggest Redwoods, they are still really impressive and are the biggest trees I'd ever seen. We had a good amount of time in the woods to explore all the trails as well as stopping off at Sausilito and a photo opportunity at the Golden Gate Bridge. Highly recommended.”
